The sheets are stained

From the sins of the night

You  moan in vain

You scream you put up a fight

Call me insane

But I thought that this was just a ride

All I see in the dark

Is you and me at the park

All I hear in the day

Is your heart beating away

The sun is down the scars are up

The  moon is gone your shadows in the dark

What will they say the common people

Pushing us away yes the common people

Telling us always that we’re common people

But you know my love,we’re nothing like common people.

When I was 16,the only thing I can be is a rock star,a passionate lover to whoever was occupying the bed, and a top student,if I have the time.One things for sure though,I’ll never be the same,never.

Now I’m 21.I play the roles.I am the role.I am the year 4 kid with the toothy grin,I am the struggling yet independent son,I’m the friend who’s always at Yio Chu Kang.One thing’s for sure though I will never stay the same,never.

Yet the moment I ‘saw’ you,It seemed like this is my role.This is the picture taken that all shall remember me by.Could it be that I am defined?That you define me.I can’t get out of character,which is the costume and what is the script.Will I ever be the same again?,ever.

It moves like souls In hell clutching at your every breath
Eating you away from inside every step close to your death bed.

But it obeys

A humble servant at the mercy of your commands
Forming into circles,mighty or lazy

Yet my friend,id trade spaces with smoke any day
For no man knows of freedom as the smoke does.

life after therein he

asketh now questions you will

of how or what but who to why

never again will they part

lips and lid whatever they tuck

shards of truth scatter in pieces

they cut deep,through the creases

lashes to ashes

trust to dust

the leper leaves

the crowds to rust.
